Mr. Jackson is the President and Advisory Board member of The Friends of Poly-Western, a 501-C3 non-profit alumni support, mentoring and funding raising organization for the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and the Western High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He is also the Vice President and Advisory Board member of The Scarborough Foundation, a 501-C3 non-profit organization that provides scholarships, mentoring and support in the performing arts, sciences, and education.
Mr. Jackson is active in community relations. For 10 years, he led the Lockheed Martin/Baltimore Polytechnic Institute STEM Partnership Program, a program in 2010. He is committed to supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and was active in Lockheed Martin University Relations. He was the Lockheed Martin Deputy Executive Sponsor to Morgan State University Alumni Affairs.
Mr. Jackson retired from the Lockheed Martin Corporation as the Director of Engineering Excellence and Innovation. He has over 40 years of experience in engineering and information technology, focusing on Systems Engineering and Cybersecurity. His diverse professional experience includes Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, Critical Infrastructure Protection Engineering, Systems Assurance, Performance Analysis and Capacity Planning, Program Management, Project Management, Business Development, Software Engineering, and Diagnostic Engineering.
Mr. Jackson holds a BS degree in Physics from Morgan State University and is a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Jackson is a member of the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute Alumni Hall of Fame. He is a 2016 recipient of the Black Engineer of the Year Awards’ Modern Day Technology Leader award for STEM. He is a 2016 recipient of the Lockheed Martin RMS Excellence of Stars Award for Community Service. He is a 2016 recipient of the Lockheed Martin NOVA Award for Exceptional Service. NOVA is Lockheed Martin’s highest individual employee award. He is also a recipient of the NASA Certificate of Achievement and a member of the Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honor Society.
