Ray Nelson, Poly Class of 77 graduate, is a Baltimore community leader, life coach, and public servant currently serving as Deputy Administrator for the Register of Wills for Baltimore City. He is an active member of the We Our Us Men’s Movement, mentoring young men ages 10–24 and supporting families through community resources.
Ray also serves as a Rehabilitation Specialist Coordinator with Akila Cares LLC and is the co-founder of Friends of Poly/Western, a nonprofit that has provided scholarships to graduating students from both Poly & Western high school students for over 15 years.
His leadership experience includes serving as Vice Chair of DreamLife Worship Center, Trustee at Macedonia Baptist Church, and as a former board member of the Better Business Bureau of Baltimore and the Maryland State Division of Tourism.
