Mr. Raymond Nelson is a founder and current board member of the Board of Directors for Friends of Poly-Western. He is a 1977 Graduate of Poly Technic Institute. Currently the owner of Refresh Salon and Spa which comprised of fifteen (15) staff members that offers hair care and full spa services to it's clientele. He has recently retired as Vice President of Customer Service and Quality Assurance for Veolia Transportation. With over 35 years of successful experience directing complex logistics, managing fleets, and expanding company client base.
Mr. Nelson is very committed to community. He is President of the Timber Glen Community Association. He is the Executive Board Vice Chair for the Restoring Life International Church. Board Member of the Maryland Tourism Committee. Chairman for the Life Service Center Community Outreach Ministry. Ray is the organizer and facilitator of Men In Action "Real Talk, Real Men" men's and young men's mentor organization. Ray is also past board member of the Better Business Bureau of Greater Maryland. Ray and his wife volunteer with the Park Heights Renaissance where they facilitate the organizations Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Event that feeds over 300 families in this community.
